2011 Big Ten Tournament: Ohio State Holds off Penn State in Championship Game

Ohio State has become the first team since Michigan State (1999-2000) to win back-to-back Big Ten Tournament Championships, and in doing so have all but locked up a No. 1 overall seed for the NCAA Tournament.

Penn State was able to keep it close throughout the game but never gave Ohio State a real scare as the Buckeyes took it 81-70.

Taylor Battle led the Nittany Lions with 24 points while Jeff Brooks scored 19. The rest of the Penn State team combined for only 17 points on six of 22 shooting. Penn State’s Tim Frazier was huge in the Nittany Lions semi-final win scoring 22 points…
