Braxton Miller (Ankle) Expected to Start Saturday

Braxton Miller is expected to start Saturday against the Illinois Fightin' Illini. The announcement brings good news for Buckeye Nation, who were afraid Joe Bauserman would be named the game's starter. Miller was leading the Buckeyes to victory against Nebraska, when he was forced out of the game with an ankle sprain.

Freshman Ohio State QB Braxton Miller, was forced out of the game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday with an ankle sprain. His injury dramatically changed the game, as the outcome was left in Joe Bauserman’s hands. The result, a 1-10, 13 yard, 1 INT performance that allowed Nebraska to come back from 21 down to defeat the Buckeyes.

A lot of Buckeye Nation was worried about the Bucks next game, also on the road, against a Top 25 ranked Illinois team. If it was to be Joe Bauserman, the game, in all likelihood, wouldn’t be worth watching. However, according to multiple media outlets, Miller is expected to start Saturday at Illinois.

This brings to mind one question, could he have gone back in the Nebraska game? And potentially saved the game for the Buckeyes? We’ll never know, but if Miller needs a back-up on Sautrday, let’s hope it’s Kenny Guiton, not Bauserman, who gets the nod.
