In a ultra-conservative, boring, and successful day, Luke Fickell gave reason to make OSU fans smile, A Woody Hayes type Victory!

In a game in which Braxton Miller didn’t complete a pass until the 4th Quarter, OSU compiled 211 total yards rushing on 51 attempts. The reason for the lack of offense was due to the ridiculous high winds. OSU capitalized on Illinois passing aggression, intercepting Nathan Scheelhaase two times.

Daniel “Boom” Herron returned to have a very successful day, 23 carries for 114 yards, and a touchdown. Boom brought a little bit of swagger, and much-needed leadership to the OSU offense.

Jake “TD” Stoneburner caught 1 pass for 17 yards, and once again scored a touchdown.

Braxton Miller didn’t have much of a chance to showcase his abilities, but he did break a couple of nice runs on his high ankle sprain. Showing his toughness and speed. The biggest thing is he never turned the ball over which helped OSU pound the ball down Illinois throat.

The defense once again showed their dominance. The DB’s played aggressive on Illinois wide receivers. The defensive line was dominant and kept their running backs in check. The leading rusher for Illinois was the Quarterback with 49 yards.

This was a tough team win. All of Buckeye Nation should be pleased with this win. Winning against a ranked-rival opponent, on their field, was enjoyable to see.

And Michigan once again proved they still suck…
