Ohio State Football Recruiting Breaking News: 4-Star Alex Anzalone Decommits

Blue & Gold Illustrated’s Jason Sapp tweeted moments ago that 4-star linebacker recruit Alex Anzalone has officially decommitted from Ohio State this afternoon.
“I de-commited from (OSU) … right now I’m just digesting everything,” said Anzalone, via Irish Sports Daily’s Twitter account.
This marks the second LB verbal to decommit from Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes this week.
Meyer’s recruiting class of 2013 has dwindled down to 11 and now lacks a player at the LB position. Still, there is plenty of time between now and national signing day (February 1) to fill the void.
Anzalone had committed to Ohio State April 21 after holding offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, South Carolina, Stanford, USC and West Virginia, among others.
The 6’3″, 210-pound Pennsylvania outside linebacker ranks No. 10 in the nation at his position, according to Scout.com.
