Urban Meyer has already re-shaped the perception of Ohio State football and restored a ton of legitimacy, but he could make his biggest statement by going out and getting one more 5-star player to add to his 2013 recruiting class.
Meyer has done a great job so far with his current recruiting class—highlighted by 5-star cornerback Cameron Burrows—but according to Chad Simmons of Scout.com another 5-star defensive back, Vonn Bell, is narrowing his list, and Ohio State has made it through to the next round of cuts:
Vonn Bell is the no. three ranked safety in the country according to Scout.com and he recently trimmed his list down to seven schools. Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, and Vanderbilt made the first cut for Bell.
If Meyer could bring in a 5-star safety to go along with the class he’s already assembled in his first year mind you, he would send shock waves through the Big Ten.
Heck, he would send shock waves through the college football…
