Ohio State Football: Impact Freshmen to Watch in 2012

While some members of the Big Ten have seen their football-related lives crumble in the offseason, others have taken crucial steps toward solidifying themselves as the conference’s teams to beat.
One of those, of course, is Ohio State.

Ever since they brought Urban Meyer on board, it has been clear that the Buckeyes weren’t going to be OK with another fourth-place finish in the Leaders Division. There have been animated press conferences, lofty promises and more than a few swipes at Michigan.

But all of that isn’t what will make the upcoming season memorable. To Meyer, much of this team’s success depends on that of this year’s freshmen, whom he told USA Today “might see a lot of action” in the season-opener against Miami of Ohio. Here are a few in particular to watch.
