Ohio State Football: Freshmen Who Will Make an Impact for Buckeyes

Improving from a 6-7 season in just one year not only usually takes a new coach, it takes an influx of talent. Fortunately for the Ohio State Buckeyes, they have both. Urban Meyer brings his winning ways to Columbus, which will be integral for Ohio State to return to its winning ways, but more importantly, there are many freshmen ready to play a huge role.

In 2011, Ohio State’s leading pass-catcher had 14 receptions. In the 2012 Spring Game, freshman Michael Thomas had 12. Now, that game is hardly a perfect indication of what to expect in the regular season, but it’s an encouraging sign nonetheless.
