Ohio State Football Video: Carlos Hyde Annihilates RB Coach Stan Drayton

Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde is 6’0″ and 232 pounds. He is also very fast and has no qualms about initiating contact. When he’s wearing full pads and running full speed, he’s basically a full-sized sedan on the freeway with a clinically insane driver who does not believe in brakes.
Stan Drayton, meanwhile, is Ohio State’s running backs coach. He’s a former three-time All-American (this is good!) at Allegheny College, a D-III school (not quite as good!), and he’s been coaching for 20 years (oh God, this is bad).
So here’s a science experiment, via ESPN’s video of a recent OSU practice. Let’s put Hyde in full dress and give him a 10-yard running start. Let’s put Drayton in front of him and just give him one pad to hold out.
What do you suppose is going to happen?

Oh. That’s going to happen. Fortunately, Drayton’s shoes didn’t fly off, which means his one measly pad did enough.
