Braxton Miller has once again shown the Buckeye faithful and the nation how valuable his legs are to Urban Meyer’s spread offense.
In the victory versus University of Central Florida, Miller completed 18-24 passes for 155 yards with one touchdown and interception a piece. He also had 141 yards on the ground with a whopping three touchdowns.
Miller has eclipsed 664 yards of total offense in his first two games. That’s already one-third of what he racked up all of last season.
With that said, two questions need to be answered.
First, has Braxton Miller put himself on the Heisman watch already? And second, will he be able to duplicate those numbers against much tougher opponents, such as Michigan and Wisconsin?
He’ll be expected to add to those gaudy numbers in the next two weeks, when the Buckeyes face off against more inferior competition in Cal and UAB. But in terms of his Heisman candidacy, his first real test will come against Michigan State in the conference-play opener.
