One key to the success of two-time national championship winning head coach Urban Meyer is his remarkable recruiting ability. Wherever Meyer has been, he has done an excellent job at getting stud players to come play for his football teams. That’s why both his overall head coaching record (112–23), and his record in bowl games (7-1) is so impressive.
In his first year as the head coach at Ohio State, Meyer has been nothing but a blessing to Columbus, leading the Buckeyes to more wins through just eight games than they accumulated throughout the entire 2011 season. That raises an interesting question: Is the rest of Big Ten a few steps behind Meyer and Ohio State?
