Ohio State Football: Miller Needs Big Game vs. PSU to Remain in Heisman Race

Not many expected Braxton Miller to be a serious Heisman contender at the beginning of the year but following the Nebraska game, Miller was near the top of the Heisman watch. After his offensive explosion against the Cornhuskers, the Buckeyes played an abnormally close two games against Indiana and Purdue, the Purdue game featuring a Braxton Miller injury.
His most recent shortened game against Purdue has damaged his Heisman hopes, especially with the roll Colin Klein is on, but this week’s matchup versus Penn State could be just what the doctor ordered.
The Buckeyes square off against Penn State at 5:30pm ET on national television and it will be the perfect stage for Miller to increase his hype.
Miller is the majority of the Buckeye’s offense and his dazzling runs should captivate the audience in a heartbeat. People need to be reminded of his extremely exciting play and see him dominate a notable team like they did against Nebraska.
