Hyde scored 3 touchdowns in the first half and finished the day with 137 yards rushing. Braxton Miller threw for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns while rushing for 73 yards and a third score. While Illinois managed to score 22 points, one of its two touchdowns came on defense, and the Illini managed only 170 yards of offense on the day.
