Ohio State Football: How Buckeyes Compare to Top BCS-Bound Teams

After an undefeated season, Ohio State fans are left wondering, “what if?”

The Buckeyes are ineligible for the postseason, and therefore will end the season without so much as a bowl appearance.

However, many in Columbus believe that this team would have been capable of great things if they were given the opportunity.

While the 2012 Ohio State team will not get a chance to play against the top teams in the nation, it is interesting to think about how the games would have turned out.

Here is a breakdown of what would happen if the Buckeyes were to play these squads.

Oregon

The most amazing thing about Oregon’s loss to Stanford this season was the fact that the team was held to only 14 points all game.

In all other games, the Ducks were able to break 40.

The high-powered offense is led by an outstanding running back in Kenjon Barner, as well as dual-threat quarterback Marcus Mariota. All of the skill players are extremely fast and difficult to take down.
