Why Braxton Miller of Ohio State Will Be a Heisman Trophy Favorite in 2013

Braxton Miller was certainly in the Heisman Trophy conversation this season, but the Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback will be a favorite for the award in 2013.
In 2012, Miller proved to be one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the college game today. As a dual-threat signal-caller who can both pass and run, Miller accounted for much of the Buckeyes’ offense this season, and since he was so successful, that approach will continue in 2013.
Through the air, Miller compiled 2,039 yards with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions. On the ground, Miller ran for 1,271 yards with 13 touchdowns. In total, Miller gained 3,310 yards with 28 touchdowns and clearly doesn’t have a propensity for turning the ball over.
By comparison, this year’s Heisman winner, Johnny Manziel, compiled 4,600 yards between the pass and run this season, along with 43 touchdowns.
