Ohio State Football: The Impact of Jordan Hall’s Unexpected Return

Soon after the hiring of Urban Meyer, fans and analysts alike gushed over the idea of Jordan Hall in the spread offense.
The product out of Jeannette, Pennsylvania always seemed to be stuck in an offense that just didn’t fit his style. Plunges between the tackles don’t suit his skill set, and the past offensive coaching staff refused to include backs in the passing game.
Under Urban Meyer, Hall was supposed to have a breakout season and be an integral part of the new spread offense headed to Columbus. 
Unfortunately for all involved, Hall struggled to see the field in 2012 due to injuries and was officially out for the year after only the fifth game. It seemed like a sad and unfair ending to a career that was just getting started. 
However, the football gods have shined on Ohio State and their veteran running back. 
Just recently, Hall was granted an extra year of eligibility via medical redshirt. 
This is huge for the Buckeyes.
