Dontre Wilson Spurns Oregon and Commits to Ohio State

Dontre Wilson decommitted from Oregon and gave his commitment to Ohio State late Monday night, according to Marc Givler of Rivals.com.

Wilson is rated the No. 10 overall running back by Scout.com but is expected to play a utility role when he steps foot in Columbus.  Dontre’s recruitment opened back up after Chip Kelly left for the Philadelphia Eagles. 
With Wilson taking visits to Ohio State and Texas the past couple of weeks, it started shaping up as a three-team race to land the 4-star prospect.  This is the third commitment from the state of Texas that Ohio State was able to pull in 2013, including arguably the state’s No. 1-ranked player, Mike Mitchell.
