Ohio State Football: Week 2 Spring Practice Stock Report

After a brief spring break, the Ohio State Buckeyes hit the field once again to resume spring practice and prepare for the season ahead.

This spring has already given fans a chance to see how the Buckeyes’ young players are starting to develop, which is especially important considering how OSU’s bowl ban kept it from having the typical 15 pre-bowl practices.

The Buckeyes have only been on the practice field a couple of times early on, but several players are making an impact, either in a positive or negative way.

Here is a look at how the stocks of several Buckeyes have shifted heading into the second week of spring football.

By most accounts, including Brandon Castel of The-Ozone.net, Noah Spence has been nearly unblockable in the early portion of practice.

Spence saw plenty of playing time as a true freshman, but will be expected to have a big year as he will likely start at defensive end.

His skill has been apparent early on in practice, and he will have to continue to be as dominant throughout in order to be the defensive cornerstone he was brought in to become.
