Before the Ohio State Buckeyes can worry about fellow West Region teams like Gonzaga and Arizona, they have to take care of business in their first NCAA tournament game against a dangerous Iona squad.
The Gaels are led by former Arizona standout Lamont “MoMo” Jones and are one of the top scoring teams in the nation. They knocked of Manhattan in the MAAC championship game to clinch a berth in the dance and are currently in the midst of a five-game winning streak.
As for the Buckeyes, an up-and-down season took a considerable turn for the better after a blowout loss at Wisconsin. They have won eight in a row, including two over Michigan State, one over Indiana and the Big Ten championship game against Wisconsin, and come into the tournament as one of the hottest teams in the country.
