Ohio State Football: Buckeyes Land Commitment from 4-Star Prospect Sam Hubbard

Ohio State’s big recruiting weekend got off to a quick start on Friday when 4-star athlete Sam Hubbard (via 247Sports.com) offered his verbal commitment to Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes, according to Doug Lesmerises of The Plain Dealer.
Hubbard, a 6’6″ safety out of Cincinnati, announced the big news via Twitter Friday evening.

The 4-star prospect recently decommited from Notre Dame, where he had pledged to play for the Fighting Irish’s lacrosse team. Hubbard committed to the Irish in January of his sophomore year because football scholarship offers weren’t rolling in.
That changed recently as schools like Michigan, Michigan State, Stanford, Louisville and Miami began recruiting the Cincinnati product. Hubbard has received 10 scholarship offers since February 26, according to 247Sports.com.
