Apparently Ohio State linebacker recruits come in pairs these days.
On Monday, Kyle Berger (Cleveland/St. Ignatius) became commitment No. 7 in the 2014 class for Ohio State just three days after fellow outside linebacker Sam Hubbard did the same.
Berger confirmed he had committed to BuckeyeNation in a text message.
Berger had offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State and West Virginia. There was also interest from Georgia Tech, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Stanford, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
As a junior, he finished with 90 tackles — 39 for loss — and registered 8½ sacks.
