When it comes to Ohio State’s 2014 recruiting class, there aren’t many prospects higher on Urban Meyer’s wishlist than 4-star quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Watson, a 6’3″ dual-threat signal-caller out of Gainesville, GA, is the only quarterback in the country with an Ohio State offer in hand.
According to The Atlantic Journal-Constitution, it might be time for Meyer and the Buckeyes to start thinking of a backup plan.
Watson, who has been committed to Clemson since his sophomore season, told the AJC that he won’t be taking any more visits and is sticking with his commitment to the Tigers.
“I’m 100-percent solid with Clemson,” Watson said. “I’m not going to visit anybody else. I’m just going to focus on Clemson and my high school season. I’m not interested in going to visit anywhere.”
