Columbus mayor makes pitch to 4-star DT

The mayor of Columbus, Ohio, had a message for four-star defensive tackle Matt Elam (Elizabethtown, Ky./John Hardin): He better be back at Ohio State soon. The No. 2 prospect in Kentucky visited the Buckeyes on Thursday, and he had an opportunity to meet mayor Michael B. Coleman. “It was cool. He said, ‘You better come or I’ll hunt you down,’ ” Elam joked. “Then he looked at his bodyguards.” The Buckeyes made quite an impression on the 6-foot-6, 350-pound interior lineman, who has the Buckeyes in his top five along with Alabama, Kentucky, Louisville and Notre Dame.
