Ohio State Football Recruiting: Jamarco Jones’ Verbal Caps Great Week for OSU

Just when it seemed like Ohio State’s recruiting had slowed down or hit a wall, Urban Meyer reeled off quite a strong week by landing four verbals in the span of a week, capped by the verbal commitment of Chicago OT Jamarco Jones on Thursday. He joins DE Jalyn Holmes, QB Stephen Collier and WR Terry McLaurin as the latest members of the Ohio State class of 2014, which is now 14 members strong and No. 4 on Scout.com’s team rankings as of Jones’ verbal. Jones gives OSU three OL prospects along with Marcelys Jones and Kyle Trout in a year where the Buckeyes need to heavily replenish their offensive line. They may need even more than those three, but Jamarco Jones along with Kyle Trout could be very good bookend tackles in the future. OSU might not be done recruiting offensive linemen depending on what happens with Jermaine Eluemeuor, Damian Prince and Demetrius Knox.
