Jayme Thompson’s season looks to have come to an end before it even started, as he will miss a considerable amount of time due to a broken ankle.
The talented 4-star safety from the 2013 recruiting class suffered the injury Wednesday during a practice session and will miss three months, according to Dave Briggs of the The Blade Toledo.

This sadden news likely guarantees that Thompson will be redshirted his true-freshman season and will miss the remainder of the year. While this certainly isn’t the way any player would like to start his collegiate career, a redshirt was likely going to be the best option for the young man anyway.
