Raekwon McMillan is the best inside linebacker in the 2014 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite, so when he narrows down his list or takes a visit, that’s a big deal.
McMillan is 6’2”, 242 pounds and runs a 4.79 40, per 247Sports. He has a blend of size, speed and physicality that makes him hard to ignore as an inside linebacker prospect. He’s so good, in fact, that according to the 247Sports composite, he’s the No. 12 player nationally.
Landing an official visit from McMillan will be no small deal for even the biggest schools out there, and according to Brad Bournival of ESPN.com, the linebacker recruit has five officials scheduled:
LSU appears on the schedule twice for McMillan, but only because the Tigers play Georgia (Sept. 28) and Alabama (Nov. 9) during official visits with the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide, respectively.
The same goes for Florida State, but only because the Seminoles travel to Clemson (Oct. 19) and Florida (Nov. 30) during his other official visits.
Ohio State picked up the other official visit as McMillan will head to The Horseshoe on Oct. 26 to see the Buckeyes play Penn State.
