Ohio State Football: Week 1 Fall Practice Stock Report

Year two of Camp Meyer is in full swing at Ohio State as the Buckeyes are after a Big Ten championship and possibly a national title this fall.

The Buckeyes have yet to lose under Urban Meyer, but that doesn’t mean he and his staff won’t be turning up the heat in camp.

There’s a lot to fight for as far as positions go on the depth chart as new faces work to make a name for themselves.

With a few practices under the team’s belt, here’s the first week’s stock report.

Stock Up: RB Dontre Wilson

The hype of about Dontre Wilson is no longer hype. Urban Meyer confirmed on Wednesday that Wilson is for real.

Wilson made Texas 5-A defenses look silly at Desoto H.S. and hasn’t waited long to showcase his playmaking ability.

He showed that he can run the football from the RB position as well as catch passes not just in the flat, but out wide as well.

The only question left with Wilson is not if he will play right away, but how much he will play right away.
