Curtis Samuel Commits to Ohio State: Buckeyes Land 5-Star ATH

Ohio State and head coach Urban Meyer landed a gigantic commitment today in 5-star athlete Curtis Samuel out of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Samuel can play running back, safety and return punts, according to Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports. He chose Ohio State despite receiving offers from several big-time programs including Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame and Nebraska, among others.

Samuel is 6’0″, 185 pounds and will be bringing a ton of speed to the Buckeyes. He runs a 4.36 40-yard dash, according to 247 Sports, which is exceptionally fast.

With that being said, current coach Danny Landberg expects Samuel will “run a 4.29 before he leaves college,” per Wiltfong’s report.

If Samuel’s high school coach has that much confidence in his speed, one can only imagine what Urban Meyer and his staff will be able to do with their new 5-star commit.
