Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Northwestern Wildcats Complete Game Preview

With College Gameday coming to Evanston, Ill., for a prime-time matchup between No. 16 Northwestern and No. 4 Ohio State, two of the Big Ten’s best teams will take center stage under a national spotlight.

Will the Wildcats (4-0) prove themselves as legitimate conference contenders with an upset win, or will the Buckeyes (5-0) cement their status as one of the nation’s elite teams with a marquee road victory?

Northwestern is coming off a bye week, but that might not be the best news for the Wildcats. Under Pat Fitzgerald, Northwestern is 0-4 in games following a week off.

Ohio State played its biggest game of the season last Saturday and came away with a 31-24 victory over Wisconsin. Braxton Miller showed no signs of rust returning from a Week 2 knee injury, piling up 281 total yards and four passing touchdowns to lift the Buckeyes.

Northwestern and Ohio State haven’t met since 2008, but the two will be reacquainted under the lights at Ryan Field Saturday night.
