COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — At least Ohio State has some extra time to work on patching its porous pass defense.The bad news is that the Clemson offense the Buckeyes will face in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 3 is unquestionably better than the last four teams – each of which have passed them silly.The Tigers, featuring quarterback Tajh Boyd and wide receiver Sammy Watkins, are a point-producing machine. They average 502 yards and 40.2 points a game. Boyd is tied for 15th in major-college history with 102 touchdown passes in his 45 games.Meanwhile, Ohio State’s defense has surrendered an average of 341 passing yards per game over the last month.Clearly, the Buckeyes have to find some quick solutions to limiting Boyd’s big gainers through the air.American FootballSports & Recreation
