LaQuinton Ross gives up senior year at Ohio State (The Associated Press)

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — LaQuinton Ross, Ohio State’s leading scorer and rebounder, is giving up his senior season to pursue a pro career.Ross, a 6-foot-8 junior from Jackson, Miss., averaged 15.2 points and 5.9 rebounds a game while leading the Buckeyes to a 25-10 record last season that ended with a second-round, 60-59 loss to Dayton in the NCAA tournament.He scored at least 15 points in 18 of the last 26 regular-season games and hit double figures in 17 of his final 19 games overall.Ross becomes the second Buckeyes player in a week to leave the program early.   1. Ross isn’t that good and going to the NBA is a joke. He showed no leadership and seemed distracted most of the year. I wish him luck, but he is making a mistake.

  2. Large: Generally, I believe that over-the-top trtsdtionaliias tend to miss out on a lot of fun. But this is a money grab, and it pisses me off. As I said in the post, if you want to pay tribute to the ’54 team, put a freaking patch on the real jersey. Hell, I’d buy one of those and get my dad one too.Amy: We live five minutes away from Pittsburgh’s brand new casino. We’re not fans, but it’s not the end of the world, either.CB: I’ll be worried about Michigan in 2010. This year? The jerseys are probably a bigger concern. (Although once we get to the week of The Game, I’ll never admit I said that.)
