Ohio State Football Recruiting: Latest Updates on Commits, Visits and Targets

Recruiting at Ohio State has operated at a consistently high level since Urban Meyer was hired in November of 2011. The Buckeyes have signed three consecutive top-five recruiting classes, and with 16 commitments already in the fold for 2015, there’s a chance that streak could continue this year.

The Ohio State coaching staff will have to be selective down the stretch, though, as the Buckeyes only have a handful of remaining scholarships available.

Commits

The Buckeyes went nearly a month without a commitment until A.J. Alexander—a 3-star wide receiver out of Burke, Virginia—gave Meyer his verbal pledge last Friday.

The Buckeyes were looking for a tall outside receiver after missing out on Van Jefferson, who committed to Georgia two weeks ago. At 6’4″ and 220 pounds, Alexander is the exact kind of playmaker Ohio State’s 2015 class needed.
