COLUMBUS, Ohio — First thoughts on the Ohio State Buckeyes after their 56-17 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Saturday: • Ohio State scored 50 points in four straight games for the first time in school history. This is a new era in the game. Offense is king and stats and scores are through the roof. It may as well be a different sport compared to what teams played 50 years ago. So keep that in mind. Still – pretty good. And in this new era, an Urban Meyer offense operating this way is right in the middle of what’s going on.
