Sorry, Ohio State fans. Buckeyes don’t fare well in our playoff forecast

Separation Saturday helped bring the College Football Playoff picture into sharper focus. Alabama, Oregon, TCU, Arizona State and Ohio State made big statements with crucial wins, while Auburn, Kansas State, Michigan State and Notre Dame suffered losses that left many scratching their heads in disbelief. While some questions have been answered, there are still some key issues up in the air as we move closer to the final postseason lineup. Here are my answers to the top four big questions looming as teams make their last push for the best postseason destinations: 1. Does Ohio State deserve a shot a spot in the playoff? No. There is no denying Ohio State looked impressive during its 48-37 beat down of No. 8 Michigan State, but how can the selection committee bump the Buckeyes from No. 14 to No. 4 with just a single victory against a ranked team?
