If the Buckeyes beat Wisconsin • Currently No. 5 in the playoff committee rankings, Ohio State would still need help to jump into the top four, like a loss by No. 4 Florida in the ACC Championship, which will be played at the same time at the Big Ten Championship, or win in a manner that encourages the committee to lift the Buckeyes past No. 3 TCU and into the top four. If Ohio State makes the playoff, the Buckeyes would head to either the Rose Bowl or the Sugar Bowl, which are the hosts of the semifinals, both on Jan. 1.
