Forbes: OSU 9th most valuable college football

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Buckeyes may be ranked the fourth best team in the country, but Forbes has them ranked slightly lower in terms of value.  Forbes released its annual list of “Most Valuable College Football Teams ” and Ohio State came in at No. 9.  Forbes says the Buckeyes  football team is valued at $87 million, generating $66 million in revenue and $39 million in profit. A trip to the inaugural playoff by Ohio State earned the Big Ten an extra $6 million, according to Forbes. Arch-rival Michigan came in at No. 3, with a team value of $117 million, generating $91 million in revenue and $65 million in profit. Forbes says the Wolverines adding just one more home game to their season increased their team revenue by $10 million year-over-year. Ohio State was edged out by the University of Oklahoma who came in at No. 8 and it beat out the University of Georgia who came in at No. 10.
