After four college football bowl games on New Year’s Day, the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide (12-1, 7-1 SEC) and the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes (12-1, 8-0 Big Ten) will end the holiday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome to decide both the 2015 Sugar Bowl and the College Football Playoff semifinal. In the first year of college football’s playoff system, both storied programs will compete for a chance to play in the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. By kick-off time in New Orleans, Alabama and Ohio State could learn their opponent when the No. 2 Oregon Ducks and No. 3 Florida State Seminoles meet in the Rose Bowl.
