Purdue women’s basketball: Boilers fall to Ohio State in overtime

Final / OT: Ohio State 79, Purdue 71 At the hands of NCAA leading scorer Kelsey Mitchell’s 37 points, Ohio State pulled out an overtime win over the Boilermakers. After Purdue had let a double-digit second half lead slip, Ashley Morrissette nailed a 3-pointer to tie it at 64 before the Boilers missed three looks at the basket on the last possession of regulation that would have won the game. The Buckeyes scored the first six points of overtime and cruised from there. Purdue senior forward Whitney Bays’ 22 points and 19 rebounds weren’t enough.
