Buckeyes— Thad Matta (11th season, 291-88) THE SCRIPT Maryland travels to Ohio State for the second consecutive year, this time looking to finish off the first half of its conference schedule at 7-2. That would set the Terps up nicely for the stretch run, especially considering five of the next seven games will be played at Xfinity Center. Ohio State is one of the Big Ten’s hottest teams, winning three if its last four, including victories over Northwestern and No. 22 Indiana last week. The Buckeyes, who are 14-1 at Value City Arena this season, are second in the Big Ten in scoring (80.0) and shooting percentage (50.9). THE QUESTION  Can Maryland’s perimeter defense improve? It must if the Terps are going to win in Columbus, Turgeon said Wednesday.
