College Football Championship Betting Odds: Ohio State, USC, Alabama, TCU Among 2015-2016 Favorites

Ohio State ended the 2014-2015 college football season with two surprising victories, upsetting Alabama in the College Football Playoff Semifinal and beating Oregon in the CFP National Championship. If the Buckeyes are able to repeat in 2015-2016, they won’t be doing so as underdogs. A month and a half after winning the title, the Buckeyes are considered to have the best chance to do so in 2016. The latest betting odds have them listed as 4/1 favorites to win next year’s national championship. Urban Meyer’s team will be returning its top players from the championship run. Ezekiel Elliott will return, after rushing for at least 220 yards in his final three games. Not only will quarterback Cardale Jones come back, but the player he replaced, J.T. Barrett, will also be on the team. Linebacker Darron Lee and defensive end Joey Bosa will be back, on the other side of the ball. The team that’s favored to meet Ohio State in the title game didn’t even make the playoffs this past season. TCU was left out of the top four, finishing sixth in the final College Football Rankings. …
