La Salle 2016 punter Drue Chrisman verbally commits to Ohio State

Chrisman, the La Salle standout junior punter, verbally committed to Ohio State this afternoon, completing a flurry of recruiting activity this spring. Chrisman called Ohio State assistant coach Coombs Monday night and spoke with Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer this afternoon. Coombs told Chrisman the commitment saved him a trip to Australia for a punter. Coombs and Meyer told Chrisman his commitment made their day today. Chrisman, who is 6 feet 4 and 200 pounds, also had offers from Indiana, Kentucky, BYU, Florida State and UCLA. He visited the Ohio State spring game in April. Chrisman had narrowed his choices to Florida State, BYU and Ohio State before selecting the Buckeyes.
