Even for Joakim Noah, this was an eventful night.
The long-haired, motor-mouthed Bulls center courts trouble on the hardwood as eagerly as he chases rebounds. During Wednesday night’s second-round Game 2 loss to the host Cavaliers, Noah nearly got into two separate fights — one with the local college football star.
The national championship team from Ohio State was honored during the game in Cleveland. Noah, a Florida alum, was spotted on the Bulls bench mouthing to Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones: “You ain’t in the SEC.” Word got back to Jones, who called Noah a “chump” and generously offered to “give [him] these hands.”
