Ohio State tops Lindy’s preseason top 25 poll; Alabama one of two SEC teams in top 10

They surprised many last year. Three different quarterbacks didn’t phase the Ohio State Buckeyes. This year, Urban Meyer still has three quarterbacks, and all eyes are on the defending college football national champs. Lindy’s Sports listed Wednesday Ohio State No. 1 in its preseason top 25 college football poll. Per the report: “There won’t be a regular-season contest in which the Buckeyes don’t have a gigantic edge in — what’s that word? — talent. That monumental collection of talent, along with Meyer’s eminence, makes No. 1 an easy call.”   The top SEC representative is Alabama, which lost to Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl and semifinals last year.
