Don’t park in Urban Meyer’s spot unless you want to be blocked in

(AP Photo/Jay LaPrete)Since arriving at Ohio State in 2011, all Urban Meyer has done is win a national championship in the first-ever College Football Playoff; go 38-3; lead the Buckeyes on a 25-game winning streak; and post a career winning percentage of .845, the best of any active coach who has been on the job for at least 10 years. So it’s fair to say that the man has earned a designated parking spot at the Buckeyes’ practice facility. However, it seems that someone didn’t get the memo, leaving the coach little choice but to run a blocking drill. That tweet comes from Buckeyes junior running back Warren Ball, and no doubt the sight of this prompted chuckles around the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. It certainly looks like there were plenty of other spots for Meyer to choose from, but, of course, that’s not how you make a point. Especially, if evidence is correct, to a recent transfer, and a kicker, at that. The Buckeyes fan site Eleven Warriors did some sleuthing and deduced that the silver car likely belongs to Jack Willoughby, an April graduate transfer this summer from Duke. That would make sense, as surely only a total noob would park in that spot, of all spots. Willoughby, by the way, arrives in Columbus as a kickoff specialist. He appears to have kicked off his Ohio State career in a distinctly inauspicious manner (assuming that’s his car), but presumably it’s nothing a few well-placed boots that start opponents off deep in their own ends can’t fix.
