Big Ten recruiting roundup: Michigan adds dual-threat quarterback, tight end to 2016 class

Like with many prep prospects, scouts and analysts are unsure what position three-star recruit Victor Viramontes will play in college. 247Sports lists the three-star recruit as an athlete, while Rivals pegs him as a dual-threat quarterback.

But whatever position he plays at the next level, Viramontes announced Monday on Twitter he’s going to do it for Michigan.

The Norco, California, native spurned offers from Colorado, Nebraska, Georgia Tech and others to pledge to coach Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines.

So soon, Harbaugh have to decide what spot on the field suits Viramontes best. The way Brandon Brown, a Rivals.com reporter, put it, Viramontes “is a perfect of example of what Jim Harbaugh calls a ‘football player’. At 6-1, 205-pounds, he doesn’t look like a prototypical quarterback, but he has an absolute cannon for an arm.”
