Ohio State lifts Terrelle Pryor’s ban, will allow him to scrimmage with Browns

The investigation led to a bowl ban, scholarship losses, vacated wins and the end of Pryor and coach Jim Tressel’s time at Ohio State.  “He should be allowed to participate as a member of the Cleveland Browns when they are on campus at Ohio State in August, if he is a member of the team,” an Ohio State spokesman told ESPN on Wednesday. “His participation should be identical to that of all team members, with no special accommodations provided to him due to his Ohio State affiliation.” Pryor’s career has taken many twists and turns over the past four years. After being selected in the third round of the 2011 supplemental draft, Pryor briefly started at quarterback for the Raiders in 2013. He hasn’t played in a regular-season game since. He was cut by the Seahawks during the 2014 preseason. After sitting out last season, he signed with the Chiefs in January but was cut in May. He made a pit stop in Cincinnati before being cut by the Bengals less than six weeks later. He was claimed off waivers by the Browns earlier this month and will attempt to make the team as a wide receiver.
