A closer look reveals the Buckeyes have playmakers at every position group and depth that extends way beyond big names such as Joey Bosa, Ezekiel Elliott and their highly publicized quarterbacks. A member of the Ohio State secondary lands at No. 11 on my list of the top players Penn State will face in 2015. JR. VONN BELL What he does well: The 5-11, 205-pounder is a force against the run and also has the range to consistently make plays vs. the pass. And as his 2014 stats will show, Bell played some of his best football in Ohio State’s biggest games. About 2014: The aggressive safety was Ohio State’s second-leading tackler with 92 (57 solos) and he intercepted six passes. Bell intercepted a pass in the Buckeyes’ Big Ten title game win over Wisconsin, contributed eight solo tackles and an end zone interception in the playoff semifinal win vs. Alabama and registered six tackles and a sack in the Buckeyes’ championship game win over Oregon.
