Penn State in 2015: The top 25 players the Lions will face — No. 4 Ohio State QB JT Barrett

The easy way out would have been to lump all three of the Buckeyes’ talented quarterbacks together on my list of the top players the Lions will face this season. Braxton Miller, the dual-threat who was one of the most excited players in college football in 2012 and 2013, roughed up the Lions’ defense in a pair of games, running for 217 yards and four touchdowns and throwing for 395 yards and four scores in two victories. But Miller didn’t play in 2014 and questions remain about his injured shoulder. There’s also Cardale Jones, one of the heroes of Ohio State’s playoff run to the national title. Jones, the No. 3 QB, threw for 742 yards and five touchdowns in the Buckeyes’ wins over Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon. Two impressive quarterbacks. But my starter, and the No. 4 player on the list, is the dual-threat who totaled 3,772 yards and 45 touchdowns last season before he fractured his ankle against Michigan. SO. J.T. BARRETT What he does well: In a short time, the 6-2, 225-pound Barrett developed into the most dangerous dual-threat QB in college football east of Marcus Mariota. …
