Miller sure to return, source says

Quarterback Braxton Miller will not transfer from Ohio State, a source close to him told The Columbus Dispatch on Thursday. Miller, the Springfield native and Wayne High School graduate, said Wednesday he will speak to the media soon and will simply address the progress of his rehabilitation and the upcoming season, the source said. The Big Ten player of the year in 2012 and ‘13 missed all of last season with a shoulder injury. On Wednesday, after meeting with a physical therapist in Birmingham, Ala., Miller tweeted: “Successful check up/visit w Kevin & Andrews!” He added a smiley face to the end of the sentence. Kevin is Kevin Wilk, a physical therapist with Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham. Andrews is Dr. James Andrews, the famed surgeon in Birmingham who performed shoulder surgery on Miller last August. Word of Miller definitely staying at OSU likely did not surprise Ohio State coach Urban Meyer and Athletic Director Gene Smith. They have said they expect Miller to play for the Buckeyes in 2015, his final season of eligibility, and compete for the starting job with Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett. Miller could transfer and play immediately because he has graduated. The rumor mill has had him playing his final season at Alabama, Florida State, Auburn, LSU, Oregon and virtually any other school seemingly in need of a quarterback possessing his skill set. …
