Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller to announce ‘immediate plans’

After missing all of the 2014 season with a shoulder injury, Ohio State senior quarterback Braxton Miller could be on his way out of Columbus soon. Two years ago, Braxton Miller was at the top of the college football world. His Ohio State Buckeyes had just come off a 12-2 season and he was coming off his 24th win as a starting quarterback for the Buckeyes in two years under Urban Meyer. Right before the 2014 season began, news broke that Miller had suffered a severely dislocated shoulder and would require season-ending surgery, giving way to freshman quarterback J.T. Barrett. Ohio State’s Big Ten title hopes looked to be lost at that point. However, Barrett stepped right into the role, passing for nearly 3,000 yards and 34 touchdowns as a freshman quarterback under Meyer and had people murmuring the word ‘Heisman’ up until the final weeks of the season. Barrett, too, suffered an injury in the final stages of the year and that allowed the strong-armed Cardale Jones to take over. Jones won the Big Ten title game, the Sugar Bowl and the national title for the Buckeyes and was immediately anointed the 2015 starter — by fans, of course.
