Report: Braxton Miller staying with Ohio State for 2015 season

Miller will not transfer from Ohio State, The Columbus Dispatch reported Thursday, citing a source close to Miller. Miller told the Dispatch on Wednesday that he expected to announce his immediate plans next week. However, the source said Thursday that Miller will be addressing the progress of his rehab from a shoulder injury and the upcoming season when he speaks next week. While head coach Urban Meyer and Ohio State AD Gene Smith have both said Miller will be playing for the Buckeyes this season, Miller would be able to transfer to a different school and play immediately because he’s a graduate. Miller has not addressed the media since last August. Why would Miller transfer? Well, if he wants to be a starting quarterback, he would probably have a better chance of earning that role elsewhere, with Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett in the mix at Ohio State. In a recent poll of College Football 24/7 analysts, Miller didn’t receive a single vote on the question of which Ohio State quarterback gives the Buckeyes the best chance to compete for a second straight national title.
